Tuition Overview
Having taught in both primary and secondary settings, I know first-hand that the English curriculum — and the way English is taught — differs significantly between the two phases. Many learners benefit from specialised support to bridge this gap. Focused English tuition can make the transition to secondary school smoother and more successful, helping learners quickly build confidence, strengthen core skills, and feel prepared for the demands of secondary English.
I am pleased to offer online group English tuition for Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9, focusing on reading and critical analysis, writing purpose and craft, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation and grammar. A love of reading and theatre sits at the heart of my teaching. Learners will engage with whole texts and will have opportunities for rich, collaborative discussion. I also have a limited number of spaces for 1:1 English tuition.
I specialise in teaching neurodivergent and SEND learners, and those who thrive with a calm, confidence-building approach. I hold high aspirations for all.
I am available to support young people who attend school, are home-educated, or access EOTAS provision.
