Tuition Overview

 

With significant teaching experience in mainstream and special schools, I am pleased to offer personalised, professional support for children and young people who are home educated or access EOTAS. Every lesson is tailored to the child or young person’s individual needs — whether they require a life-skills focus, support to engage with reading and writing and communication, or a more formal curriculum pathway working towards qualifications such as Functional Skills English or GCSE English Language.

 

My approach is calm, relational, and responsive. Alongside developing English skills, I place strong emphasis on supporting social and emotional needs and regulation, helping learners feel understood, safe and confident. This creates a positive learning environment where children and young people can make progress and enjoy their learning.

A love of reading and theatre sits at the heart of my teaching. I help learners connect with a wide range of texts, characters, and language in ways that spark imagination, enjoyment, and curiosity.

 

I offer online tuition or tuition in the child or young person’s own home, supporting flexibility and wellbeing.
